New Delhi: This serves as a prime example of how time itself often provides the answers to certain situations. The United States—which had imposed sanctions on India seven years ago, prohibiting it from purchasing oil from Iran—has now relaxed those restrictions in light of the energy crisis triggered by the ongoing war. Consequently, an opportunity has opened up for India to purchase crude oil directly from Iran. Against this backdrop, a vessel carrying 600,000 barrels of oil has departed from Iran and is scheduled to arrive at the Vadinar port in Gujarat on the 4th of this month.
