Bhramaramba as Mahagauri
Srisailam: The Sharannavaratri celebrations at the great shrine of Srisailam are being observed with great splendor. On the eighth day, Sunday, Goddess Bhramaramba appeared to devotees in the form of 'Mahagauri.' Lord Mallikarjuna, accompanied by Goddess Bhramaramba, was taken in a procession through the town streets on a 'Nandi Vahanam' (bull vehicle), bestowing blessings upon the devotees. Morning rituals, special 'Kumkumarchana' (worship with vermilion), 'Chandi Rudra Homa,' and 'Kumari' and 'Suhasini' pujas were performed in accordance with scriptural traditions. Goddess Bhramaramba was adorned as Mahagauri, and special prayers were offered.
