Police and administrative teams tried to reason with the crowd, but someone from the crowd threw a stone at the police, and the situation quickly escalated into a serious incident of stone-pelting. PAC team called in Police and other security personnel retreated in self-defense and tried to disperse the crowd by using batons, but the crowd remained at the scene. A team from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) was called in. Police and administrative officers remained at the scene until late at night. Strict action will be taken against those who obstruct the process The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Dehradun also arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. Police say that the Forest Department is carrying out its work as per the directions of the Supreme Court. Strict action will be taken against those who obstruct the process.
