Cyclone Threat to North Coastal Andhra
Visakhapatnam: A cyclone is looming over the North Coastal region of Andhra Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, predicting wind speeds ranging from 55 to 80 kmph and heavy to very heavy rainfall across the stretch from Srikakulam to West Godavari district. Experts anticipate that the cyclone will make landfall in the Konaseema and Kakinada regions, raising concerns about the potential for significant damage. A cyclonic circulation previously over the Andaman Sea moved into the southeastern and east-central Bay of Bengal on Thursday; this is expected to develop into a low-pressure area by Friday.
