Defense Ministry approves proposals worth Rs. 79,000 crore
The three services have been approved to purchase weapons and equipment worth Rs 79,000 crore. The proposals were approved in a meeting of the Defence Acquisition Council chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The items include electronic surveillance systems, advanced lightweight torpedoes, Nag missile systems, landing platform docks, 30MM naval surface guns, high mobility vehicles, and track systems.
