Disappointment for India in Davis Cup
Seoul: India's Davis Cup campaign ended in the second round of the qualifiers. South Korea defeated India with a 3–1 lead, securing a spot in the Davis Cup 'Final 8'. In the doubles match held on Saturday, the Indian pair of Dakshineswar and Sriram Balaji raised hopes by defeating the duo of Nam Ji-sung and Park Ui-sung with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. However, Korea surged ahead with a decisive 3-1 lead after Sumit Nagal lost to Soon-woo Kwon (1-6, 2-6) in the crucial reverse singles match.
