Do you have a statue of the Sun God in your house?
Many homes have idols of gods. However, scholars say that one should not keep a statue of the Sun God. This is because the sun appears to us as a visible deity every day. It is considered auspicious to greet the sun and offer water (Arghyam) during sunrise. When there is an opportunity to witness the divine in nature itself, worshipping the sun directly yields more powerful results than worshipping an idol.
