Amaravati: Ministers stated that the BC Protection Act would enable backward classes to live with dignity in society. They warned that punishments for abuse based on caste or profession would be severe. A key meeting regarding the draft BC Protection Act was held in Vijayawada on Wednesday, led by BC Welfare Minister Savitha and attended by ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and MPs belonging to the BC community.
