After attempting to curb the influx of foreign workers by drastically hiking H-1B visa application fees, the Trump administration has now set its sights on foreign student visas! The White House has approved a proposal by the Department of Homeland Security to scrap the "Duration of Status" policy—which allowed foreign students to stay in the U.S. for as long as they wished to pursue their studies—and instead issue visas with fixed time limits.
