Funds for lamps, but none for hostels?
"Does the Centre have funds to light lamps but not for maintaining hostels where students study?" asked Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and a senior Congress leader. He highlighted a question raised by a female student during the 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' (Voice of Students) program on his 'X' (formerly Twitter) account. Rahul expressed concern over the severe lack of adequate government hostel facilities for female students moving from villages to cities to pursue higher education.
