Godavari Floods Emergency Warning Andhra Pradesh
Polavaram: Flood Godavari is flowing rapidly. As life-threatening water from upstream is joining Godavari, the water level at Bhadrachalam is rising rapidly and has reached 37.2 feet. With this, Godavari is flowing rapidly at Dhavaleswaram in Tharpu Godavari district. As of Friday evening, 175 gates of Cotton Barrage Dhavaleswaram are being lifted and 3,54,341 cusecs of water is being released into the sea. The water level at Dhavaleswaram is 9.70 feet. The intensity of flood inundation is visible in the flood zones of Kukkunaru and Velerupadu below Bhadrachalam.
