Highly Transparent Implementation of Excise Policy
Visakhapatnam: Kollu Ravindra stated that the excise policy is being implemented with utmost transparency since the alliance government assumed power in the state. He noted that a 'trace-and-track' system has been implemented to ensure corruption-free operations from the moment a liquor bottle leaves the distillery until it reaches the retail shop. On Saturday, he held a review meeting in Visakhapatnam with excise officials from the North Andhra districts. Speaking to the media afterwards, the Minister criticized the YCP government—which came to power in 2019—for altering the excise policy to facilitate its own exploitation.
