"How can you say, 'I will promote terrorism... give me water'?" - Jaishankar
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar responded to the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan. He questioned, "Pakistan has been promoting terrorism for decades. If you are not a good neighbor, you cannot expect to receive benefits from a good neighboring country. How can you ask, 'I will promote terrorism against you... give me water'?" He clarified that India has the right to protect itself from terrorism, and no one can dictate how India should exercise that right.
