A massive earthquake struck Indonesia in the early hours of Thursday morning. The undersea quake, measuring 7.4 in magnitude, shook eastern Indonesia. The epicenter was located in the Molucca Sea, approximately 127 kilometers from the island of Ternate. A U.S. monitoring center issued a warning stating that dangerous tsunami waves could be generated within a 1,000-kilometer radius of the epicenter.
