Jaishankar to attend former Bangladesh PM's funeral
It is known that former Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has passed away. Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar will attend her funeral, which is being held in Dhaka today, on behalf of India. This visit has gained significance given the current state of India-Bangladesh relations. During her two terms as Prime Minister, she brought Bangladesh closer to China. Also, during her tenure, China became the main arms supplier to Bangladesh.
