Low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal today
Visakhapatnam: A cyclonic circulation persists over southern West Bengal and the adjacent areas of Bangladesh. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is expected to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal by Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that this system is likely to move across West Bengal, north Odisha, and Jharkhand towards north Chhattisgarh. Forecasters predict that if the low-pressure system remains stationary near north Odisha while crossing the coast, there is a possibility of rainfall in the North Andhra region.
