Objections are being raised against the Karnataka government's decision to increase the height of the Almatti Dam on the Krishna River from 519 to 524 feet. KTR questioned why CM Revanth was not speaking out, saying that this would cause damage to Telangana. MLA Somi Reddy raised this issue in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. He said that Karnataka wants to acquire 1.33L acres of land and spend ₹70,000Cr to divert 130 TMC of Krishna water.
