Nomination Rejected Arbitrarily
New Delhi: Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan has approached the Supreme Court challenging the rejection of her nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh. Pointing out that the Returning Officer rejected her nomination on the grounds that she failed to disclose a case registered against her, she termed the rejection unjust and asserted that it clearly violates the Representation of the People Act. She has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court in this regard.
