Hyderabad: It appears that Majlis MLC Mirza Rahmat Baig—who was rumored to have absconded after evading party leaders—is actually under the party's control. Speculation suggests that the Majlis leadership plans to keep him in hiding until the controversy subsides before bringing him out, or alternatively, to have him sign a resignation letter for his MLC seat and submit it to the Legislative Council Chairman. It is well known that the party leadership has already expelled Rahmat Baig following allegations of rape against a minor girl.
