Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled that withholding employees' retirement benefits—on the grounds that disputes regarding the division of assets and liabilities between the Andhra and Telangana Housing Boards remain unresolved—is unjustifiable. The Court noted that following the state bifurcation, 96% of the assets and approximately ₹8.77 crore in General Provident Fund (GPF) dues payable to the employees of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh Housing Board have remained under the control of the Telangana Housing Board.
