Reliance and Essar Bid for CBM Blocks
New Delhi: Reliance Industries and the Essar Group are competing for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) blocks located in various parts of the country, including Telangana. In the bidding process that concluded on the 5th of last month, these two entities submitted the highest bids. The government had invited bids from interested companies for the exploration and production of CBM across a total of 16 blocks, conducted in two phases. Out of these 16 blocks, both Reliance and the Essar Group submitted bids for the exploration and production of CBM in three blocks each.
