Rs 2.40 Lakh in Cash Found in Water Board Director’s Car
A sum of Rs 2.40 lakh in cash was discovered in the car of A. Srinivas, a Joint Director at the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. On Saturday night, as Srinivas was driving home from the Water Board office in Khairatabad, officials from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) intercepted his vehicle near Lok Bhavan. A search of the car revealed the Rs 2.40 lakh in cash. As he failed to provide an account for the money or offer a satisfactory explanation, the ACB officials took Srinivas into custody and have initiated an investigation.
