A Rs 600 Crore Deal to End the Political Legacy of Deve Gowda’s Family
Union Minister Kumaraswamy has made a sensational allegation, claiming there is no doubt that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar orchestrated a massive Rs 600 crore deal aimed at bringing an end to the political career of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda’s family. "There are many conspiracies afoot to dismantle our family, and this Rs 600 crore 'supari' (contract) deal is one of them," Kumaraswamy stated. Furthermore, he alleged that the Central Crime Branch (CCB) and the Home Department are systematically conspiring to link the 'sting operation' controversy in Karnataka to the JD(S) party.
