Brussels: The European Union (EU) has imposed a massive fine of 890 million euros on Google for steering consumers toward its own services via the Play Store and search engines, thereby harming competitors. In Indian currency, this amounts to over Rs 9,786 crore. The EU stated that Google's actions violated digital antitrust regulations.
