Schools to reopen on the 15th
Hyderabad: The Education Department has extended the summer holidays for government and private schools by another three days. According to the schedule, the 2026-27 academic year was supposed to commence on the 12th of this month. Meanwhile, Naveen Nicholas, Director of School Education, issued orders on Sunday stating that the academic year would commence on the 15th of this month, following the latest extension. The academic calendar for the new academic year has been released; the 2026-27 academic year comprises a total of 227 working days.
