Solar Cell Production Begins at AP Unit
Hyderabad-based Premier Energies has announced the commencement of production at its solar cell manufacturing unit, established on a 101-acre site at Naidupeta in the Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. The company set up this plant with an investment of ₹3,293 crore and an annual production capacity of solar cells sufficient to generate 7,000 megawatts of solar power. It stated that there is currently no other unit in the country producing solar cells on such a massive scale.
