Strengthening Maritime Security Cooperation Between India and Kenya
To bolster bilateral maritime security, the Indian Coast Guard Ship 'Varaha' conducted specialized joint training and professional exchange programs at the port of Mombasa, Kenya. This visit aligns with India’s 'SAGAR' (Security and Growth for All in the Region) vision and the shared commitment to bilateral maritime cooperation. In collaboration with the Kenya Coast Guard Service, training was provided on maritime search and rescue, 'visit, board, search, and seizure' (VBSS) operations, as well as damage control and response to nuclear, biological, and chemical incidents.
