Swami Chaitanyananda's criminal history exposed; cases were also filed against him in 2009 and 2016.
New Delhi: Shocking facts have emerged about Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Parth Sarathi, against whom a complaint of sexual harassment of several female students has been filed at the Vasant Kunj North police station in Southwest Delhi. This is not the first time such a complaint has been filed against the Swami. Two cases of molestation have been filed against him previously. Who is this Swami? Delhi Police explained:
According to Delhi Police, the accused, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Parth Sarathi, is originally from Odisha. He has been living in the ashram here for approximately 12 years. Two cases of molestation were previously filed against the Baba in Odisha. The first case was filed in 2009 and the second in 2016.
In the 2016 case, a student of the same Sharda Institute filed an FIR against Chaitanyananda. Chaitanyananda was arrested in this case, although he was later granted bail.
Swami was the caretaker and operator of the ashram and lived there. Statements from 17 girls have been recorded in court, revealing that Swami was blackmailing and threatening them. Delhi Police have recorded Section 164 statements from the victims.
Swami has a long history of controversies.
Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Parth Sarathi, has previously been involved in several criminal cases. In 2009, a case of fraud and molestation was filed against him in Delhi's Defence Colony.
In 2016, a woman in Vasant Kunj filed a molestation case against him. An FIR was registered against him at the Vasant Kunj North police station. Police are now investigating Baba's past criminal history.
Swami is constantly changing locations. He rarely uses his mobile phone. His last location was found near Agra in Uttar Pradesh. An investigation is underway to determine where he obtained the UN license plate. The CCTV footage of the ashram and the hard disk of the ashram have been seized.
