Telangana Government to Revive Tummidihatti Barrage Under Pranahita, Chevella Project
Hyderabad: The state government has taken a decision in principle to resume all the stalled works under the Dr. BR Ambedkar Pranahita-Chevella project. The construction of a barrage at Tummidihetti in Kautala mandal of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district will be resumed along with the works to provide irrigation water to 2 lakh acres of ayacut in the joint Adilabad district and 2.47 lakh acres in the joint Rangareddy district. The ayacut of these two districts was under the Pranahita-Chevella project.
