A one-year-old child died in a tragic accident in Changaramkulam, Malappuram, Kerala. The infant swallowed a stone while playing in the courtyard of his home, which got stuck in his throat, causing difficulty breathing. The child was immediately rushed to a private hospital, but doctors could not save him. Difficulty breathing The deceased has been identified as Aslam Nuh, son of Mahroof and Rumana. The child picked up a stone from his courtyard on Sunday evening and accidentally swallowed it. When his family members noticed that the child was having difficulty breathing, they first took him to a private hospital in Changaramkulam. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to another private hospital in Kottakkal, where he died later that night. Death due to suffocation Hospital authorities said that the stone was lodged in the child's throat, causing him severe difficulty breathing. Police officials from the Changaramkulam police station said that preliminary investigations indicate the child died due to suffocation caused by swallowing the stone. They added that based on the initial investigation and the child's age, no case has been registered. The body has been handed over to the family, and the funeral will be held today.
