Colombo: Indian bowlers toiled hard on the opening day of the three-day warm-up match against Sri Lanka XI, which began on Friday. With every batter putting up a strong performance, the Sri Lankan side reached 363 for 8 by the close of play in their first innings. Openers Ravindu Rasantha (71) and Nishan Madushka (66), along with captain Sonal Dinusha (52), impressed with their half-centuries. Seven Indian bowlers were utilized; Kuldeep, Jadeja, and Manav claimed two wickets each, while debutant bowler Saransh failed to make an impact.
