Why 'Rythu Bandhu' for Multi-millionaires?
Hyderabad: The High Court expressed concern that freebie schemes could soon lead to a dangerous situation in the state. Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka questioned the rationale behind extending the 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme to multi-millionaires and providing fee reimbursements to individuals who ride luxury bikes. J. Ramakrishna, a former Cantonment Board member, had filed a petition in the High Court seeking an order for the refund of the surcharge on stamp duty collected from the Cantonment Board.
