The Judiciary Is Not Immune to Corruption
Chennai: The Madras High Court observed that no one can claim there is no room for corruption within the judiciary, noting that corrupt judges have existed—both in the past and in the present—within this very system. A bench comprising Justice G.R. Swaminathan and Justice V. Lakshminarayanan dismissed a petition seeking a ban on the recently released Tamil film 'Karuppu,' which allegedly contained scenes that cast the judiciary in a derogatory light.
