Washington: The World Food Programme (WFP), an agency affiliated with the United Nations, has expressed concern that millions of people could face starvation due to the crisis in West Asia. It expressed regret that it might have to curtail its global services due to rising crude oil prices, declining food product availability, and the ongoing crisis near the Strait of Hormuz. The organization stated that it is currently unable to provide support even to malnourished children.
