The process of counting votes is as follows..
Telangana: In the counting of votes for the municipal elections, first the ballot votes are counted. Then the ballot boxes are opened simultaneously by ward wise. 25 ballot papers are bundled and 1,000 votes (one round) are kept in a bundle. The counting proceeds by showing each ballot paper to the agent in rounds according to the votes. Finally, the results are announced.
