Republican Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana has introduced a bill in the US Senate seeking to suspend the issuance of new H-1B visas for three years and to codify into law the $100,000 fee previously imposed by the Trump administration. He stated that visas should not be issued if they infringe upon the rights of American workers or undermine their employment opportunities.
