Washington: After India, US President Donald Trump has now demanded 50 to 100 percent tariff on China. He has written a letter in this regard to the North Atlantic Organization (NATO) on Saturday. Trump demanded 50-100% tariff on China to break Russia's war machine. He has urged NATO countries to stop buying oil from Russia and impose strict sanctions on China. So that the war going on in Ukraine can be ended. Along with this, Russia's economic condition can be weakened. Trump wrote a letter to NATO Trump wrote a letter to NATO countries on Saturday which was posted on his Truth social media. In this, he wrote, "I am ready to impose strict sanctions on Russia, when all NATO countries agree to this, they should also start doing so themselves and all NATO countries should stop buying oil from Russia." He further wrote, "Imposing tariffs of 50% to 100% on China, which will be lifted after the Russia-Ukraine war ends. This step will greatly help in ending this deadly... but foolish war." Major countries among oil buyers from Russia Trump said that NATO member Turkey is third after China and India in countries buying oil from Russia. Other NATO members like Hungary and Slovakia are also involved in buying Russian oil. Trump had earlier also threatened to impose sanctions on Moscow and secondary sanctions on countries buying oil from Russia, such as China and India. After this, a tariff of 50 percent was imposed on India and 30 percent on China.
