Two Earthquakes in Venezuela; Buildings Shake in Caracas
Two consecutive massive earthquakes have shaken the South American nation of Venezuela. Powerful tremors caused buildings to sway in the capital, Caracas, and several other areas. Terrified residents rushed out of their homes. Emergency personnel are conducting rescue operations to save those trapped under the rubble. According to the US Geological Survey, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 struck first, followed within minutes by another powerful quake measuring 7.5 in magnitude.
