Two Earthquakes in Venezuela; Death Toll Reaches 164
Two consecutive earthquakes struck Venezuela's capital, Caracas, and surrounding areas on Wednesday evening. The quakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the magnitude scale, occurred just one minute apart. Several buildings were damaged, while others completely collapsed. By Thursday afternoon, the death toll from the incident had risen to 164. Addressing the nation on Wednesday night, Venezuela's interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that the death toll could rise further.
