Unnecessary Imposition!
New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor made significant remarks regarding the full rendition of the song *Vande Mataram* at government events. He questioned, "Is there a need to sing *Vande Mataram* in its entirety at government programs?" He opined that doing so amounts to an unnecessary imposition of the song. He further commented that while any confusion regarding the respect due to *Vande Mataram* is inappropriate, a mandatory rule requiring its rendition at every single event is equally unjustified.
