Vaibhav Misses Century
East Zone vice-captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi shone in the Duleep Trophy semi-final. He scored runs in his signature style, hitting shots all around the ground, though he narrowly missed out on a century. In the match against Central Zone, East Zone—batting first on Monday—was bowled out for 266 runs. Vaibhav (scoring 92 off 81 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes) and fellow opener Abhimanyu (69) put together a 161-run partnership for the first wicket. However, the Central Zone bowlers then dominated, causing East Zone to fold for 266.
