Village Assemblies Across the State Today
Andhra Pradesh: The state government will be creating awareness among rural people about the new VB G Ram Ji scheme introduced by the central government. As part of this, village assemblies will be held in Gram Panchayats today. Until recently, the employment guarantee scheme provided for only 100 days of work, but this has now been increased to 125 days. The Rural Development Department has issued orders stating that Rs. 2,000 can be spent from the scheme's operational expenses for conducting village assemblies and awareness programs.
