However, sources within the PCB stated that they had anticipated this outcome. Telecom Asia Sports reported the sources as saying, "The uproar surrounding Sunrisers Leeds' signing of Abrar is not something we did not foresee. He is not particularly stressed about it. This is a matter concerning the ECB and the franchise."
