What is a low pressure or a cyclonic circulation?
The hot winds over the sea convert water droplets into steam and move towards the area of low pressure. This is called a low pressure trough. This trough attracts water droplets and turns into a low pressure. It strengthens and becomes a severe low pressure and comes towards the coast. Then it changes into a cyclonic circulation (31-50Kmph winds) and if it gets stronger, it changes into a severe cyclonic circulation (51-62kmph winds). If the wind speed exceeds 62Kmph, it is considered a cyclone.
