Scholars suggest that on Kanuma day, one should worship Katamaraju, the deity of cattle, and Kamadhenu, the embodiment of all deities, with devotion and reverence. Prayers are offered at the village boundaries, seeking blessings for the well-being of the livestock. It is believed that doing so will result in abundant harvests. On this day, cattle are beautifully decorated, and prayers are offered for their health and longevity. After the traditional sweets and snacks, the festive celebrations conclude with non-vegetarian feasts on Kanuma day.
