Scholars advise that one must invariably keep a vessel filled with water in the prayer room. They assert that doing so pleases the deities. "Deities are more delighted by the act of offering water during prayer than by the offering of a grand *Naivedyam* (sacred food offering). Pure water kept in a copper vessel is considered equivalent to water imbued with the power of mantras. This water bestows health and happiness. This water should be replenished once every two days. Consequently, negative energy is dispelled from the home, while divine energy flourishes," they explain.
