Prime Minister Modi, who on Sunday—speaking from Hyderabad—appealed to the nation to reduce their consumption of petrol, diesel, and cooking oils, and to refrain from purchasing gold, reiterated this very message on Monday. Speaking after inaugurating the 'Sardar Dham Hostel' in Vadodara—constructed by the Patidar community—he noted that the conflict in West Asia has created a highly complex situation on the global stage. Consequently, he urged the public to curtail their consumption of fuel and cooking oils as well.
