Sri Lanka won the match against Bangladesh by 7 runs in the Women's World Cup. Bangladesh had a chance to win but lost 5 wickets in the last 2 runs. With 9 runs required in the last over, 4 wickets fell in the first 4 balls. This gave Sri Lanka an unexpected victory. Earlier, Sri Lanka was all out for 202 runs. With this defeat, Bangladesh became the first team to be eliminated from the World Cup.
