23-Year-Long Divorce Case in Britain Concludes
In a case marking one of the longest-running divorce proceedings in British legal history, the High Court has delivered a verdict in favor of Varsha Gohil—a 61-year-old woman of Indian origin. In this protracted legal battle that spanned 23 years, the court awarded Varsha a settlement of £6.6 million (exceeding ₹70 crore). Varsha had first approached the court in May 2002, seeking a divorce from her husband, Badresh Gohil.
