286,000 Applications Received for H-1B Visas
Applicants have flocked to apply for the H-1B visas issued by the United States. Although the Trump administration significantly hiked the fee for this visa, the increase had absolutely no adverse effect on the volume of applications. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that this year, more than 200,000 applicants were willing to pay the fee of $100,000. "So far in the 2026 fiscal year, we have received 286,000 applications for H-1B visas," noted DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
